Guided visit: Van Buuren Museum & Gardens

The registrations for the Docomomo Belgium guided visit to the van Buuren House (now museum) and gardens, on Saturday 23rd October 2021 are open. Starting at 10:00, Docomomo Belgium organizes a guided visit with architect Barbara van der Wee to the interior of the van Buuren museum house. In the afternoon at 14:00 will be visited the recently restored garden with landscape architect Anne-Marie Sauvat. José-Augusto França (1922-2021)

It is with great sadness that Docomomo International has learned that Professor José-Augusto França, the most important Portuguese modern art researcher on the contemporary era, passed away today, 18 September 2021, at the age of 98 years near Angers (France). Docomomo International wishes to convey the most sincere condolences at his passing to his family and friends. Born in Tomar (1922), José-Augusto França was a historian, sociologist and critic of art.
