The chair of Docomomo International, Prof. Ana Tostões, overlooked the Modernity in Global Architecture through a series of 4 architectural dialogues that took place at the University of Tokyo, Japan, between 24th January and 8th March 2017. On 14 December 2016, a protocol to strengthen the protection of architectural heritage of the modern movement was signed by Professor Ana Tostões, chair of Docomomo International, and Professor Maria Calado, chair of the (Portuguese) National Cultural Center.
