Cuban architect Isabel León passed away on August 4th, 2018, having left a deep trace among her many colleagues and friends. Architect León graduated in 1975 from the School of Architecture of the Havana Higher Polytechnic Institute. For several years she worked at the National Planning Institute’s central office. During that period she served for two years as advisor in Ethiopia’s physical planning organization. In Havana she developed many projects in collaboration with other colleagues. Afterwards, she became a staff member of the Non-Governmental Organization Habitat-Cuba, a position from which she promoted diverse housing developments all along the country. Between…
