The UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation recognises exemplary efforts by individuals and organisations to restore or conserve structures, places and properties of heritage value in the region. It aims to encourage other property owners to undertake conservation projects within their communities, either independently or by seeking public-private partnerships. Since 2000, the Awards have recognised 233 winners from 21 countries for their thorough understanding of the places, sound technical achievements, and significant social and policy impacts at the local, national and regional levels. Event: Mies on Scene

Fundació Mies van der Rohe would like to inviete to a new event “Mies on Scene”. It includes the screening of the documentary Mies on Scene: Barcelona in two acts, as well as the announcement of Luftwerk and Iker Gil’s upcoming project ‘Geometry of Light’. The event will take place at 18:00 in the historic Robert F. Carr Memorial Chapel of St. Savior at IIT, Chicago. Event: Le Corbusier Apartment-Studio re-opened for visiting

Apartment-studio of Le Corbusier, located inside the famous Molitor building, is opened again after undergoing conservation for the past two years. It served as home to Le Corbusier, who lived there with his wife since 1934, until her death in 1965. The conservation process, led by François Chatillon, aimed at restoring the state of the apartment from 1965, to express the constant change in Corbu´s living environment, where he experimented with new ideas and aesthetics.
