MATTER. the White conferences [Matéria: conferências brancas] present, following Paul Robbrecht e Johannes Robbrecht´s conference, last November, at FAUP, entitled An Architectural Anthology, a particular vision of Robbrecht en Daem´s projects portrayed by Maarten Vanden Abeele, through 11 short films, under the heading, evoking Ornette Coleman´s composition, “Beauty is a rare thing”.

Maarten Vanden Abeele (1970) is a Belgian photographer, cinematographer and visual artist. He develops his visual art by creating installations in combination with his photo-works and performances, directed and, sometimes, performed by himself. His work led to (long-term) collaborations with, among others, Pina Bausch, Opéra National de Paris, dEUS, Jan Fabre and Vogue Paris.
Maarten Vanden Abeele portrayed different projects by Robbrecht en Daem architecten for the exhibition ´Pacing Through Architecture´.
