CICA Tribute to Álvaro Siza

On occasion of the commemoration of Álvaro Siza’s 91 anniversary, Docomomo Portugal records the tribute to him held by CICA (International Committee of Architectural Critics) at the Serralves Foundation last 6th May 2024. The tribute counted with the presence of Álvaro Siza and Wilfried Wang (president of CICA), and Ana Tostões (CICA member and president of AICA_PT – International Association of Art Critics, Portugal, and Docomomo Portugal president) as well as Alejandro Aravena (Pritzker Prize 2016 and actual president of the Pritzker Prize jury). Exhibition “Siza”

Last 16 May was inaugurated at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon, the exhibition “Siza”, which will be patent there at the Main Gallery and Temporary Exhibition Gallery from 17 May to 26 August 2024. Docomomo Portugal and the Docomomo International Specialist Committee on Interior Design (ISC/ID) organized between 7-9 March 2024 the Conference “Modernist women interior designers and artists: to deepen the reading of the different expressions of female creativity.” The conference was held at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon, in celebration of the International Women’s Day.
