The exhibition “Paisagens Construídas” opens on Saturday, 11 January, at 16H00, showcasing sixteen works of Portuguese architecture, published in the book with the same name by Valdemar Cruz and photographed by Inês d’Orey. The works, selected from the choices of over fifty figures from the fields of architecture, visual arts, engineering, and photography, illustrate the various paths, with broad recognition both inside and outside of Portugal, followed by Portuguese architects from the early 20th century to the present day. From an inevitably circumstantial and provisional selection, the buildings represented here share a common denominator: they are considered landmark works for the formation, knowledge, and study of successive generations of architects.

The exhibition, curated by Valdemar Cruz, Inês d’Orey, and Luís Urbano, with graphic design by André Cruz Studio, is an initiative of Fundação Marques da Silva, organized in partnership with Zet Gallery. The displayed photographs are part of the dstgroup collection, and the drawings come from various national archives.

As parallel program to the exhibition is planed a Series of 5 Talks, whose program will be available soon. The first talk will take place on 11 January, to mark the opening of the exhibition with the participation of Valdemar Cruz, Inês d’Orey, and André Cruz. The moderation will be led by Luís Urbano.

On the opening day, admission is free, subject only to space capacity.
