Docomomo Portugal congratulates Gonçalo Byrne for the distinction as recognition for his work and lifetime commitment with architecture!

Under the Theme of the 14BIAU “Caring for Life”, Gonçalo Byrne receives this distinction together with Erminia Maricato (Brazil) and Frederick Cooper Llosa (Peru) for their architecture career statement as their trajectories show that caring also means building spaces capable of enduring and transforming, defending the right to the city, and creating institutions and networks that expand collective knowledge.

On the occasion Gonçalo Byrne will hold a lecture on 4 November at 18.30H at Embaixada de Portugal in Brasilia.
