“After the terrible news of the destruction of one of the emblematic pieces of Modern Architecture, the House of the architect Klumb and his wife Else (more info here), positions have been raised in different forums regarding what should be done with what was previously the Klumb House.
Docomomo Puerto Rico invites a panel of people directly related to the structure and the conservation issue to give us their opinion on the future of what this space should be. In this way, Docomomo Puerto Rico promotes the exchange of ideas, dissimilar positions, and creates a wide space of opposing positions, to create a place of reflection for the public on the issue of conservation in Puerto Rico.
This activity, Klumb House Project: Past or Future?, will be broadcast in the ZOOM mode and will have the following guests:
Panelists:
Mayra Jiménez Montano: Dean of the UPR School of Architecture
Beatriz del Cueto: Conservation Architect
Pablo Ojeda: Director of the ICP’s Built Historical Heritage Program
Luz Marie Rodríguez: Historian
Santiago Gala: Vice President of Docomomo Puerto Rico
Moderator:
