The architect Alfredo Brillembourg will present the lecture “El Arquitecto y la Ciudad” [The Architect and the City] at 31st May 2019 at Faculty of Architecture of Porto University. He founded, with Jubert Klumpner, the Urban-Think Tank Studio (U-TT).
The U-TT, founded in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1998, has been based in the Department of Architecture D-ARCH of ETH in Zurich since 2010, where its founders teach the Teaching Unit of Architecture and Urban Design. Before, Brillembourg and Klumpner taught at Columbia University, where they founded the Sustainable Living Urban Model Laboratory (SLUM Lab). Their work has already been honored with the Ralph Erskine Awards 2010, Holcim Gold 2011 for Latin America, Holcim Global Silver 2012 and the Golden Lion of the Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2012.
