Docomomo International would like to withdraw your attention to the alarming situation that the Butte Rouge Garden City, in Châtenay-Malabry, is still facing. Under threat: Wohnbedarf shop

Docomomo International became aware by Docomomo Switzerland that the Wohnbedarf shop at Talstrasse 11, Zürich, designed by Marcel Breuer and Robert Winkler, 1932-1933, is under threat due to the proposed renovation works. “On 21 January 1933, Wohnbedarf AG (wobag) moves into the new Zurich business premises designed and built by Marcel Breuer and Robert Winkler. Under threat – Kamalapur Railway Station

Docomomo International became aware that the Kamalapur Railway Station, designed by Daniel C. Dunham and Robert G.Boughey for Berger Consulting between 1961 and 1968 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, is threatened due to the an extension plan of the Dhaka Metro Rail’s Line-6 that includes its  demolition and  replacement by a new infrastructure, rather than its adaptation. Docomomo International became aware by Docomomo Italy that the Flaminio Stadium in Rome, an icon of modern Italian architecture, is in danger due to the new amendment included in the Italian so-called ‘Simplification Decree’: art. 55-bis of Legislative Decree no. 76/2020, which has nullified the effectiveness of the Code of Cultural Heritage and Landscape, linked to one of the most important principles of the Italian Constitution, Article 9.
