Conference: “Siza & Pallasmaa. Dialogues North-South”
In the framework of the commemorations of the centenary of Finland, the Embassy of Finland in Lisbon and Docomomo International, with the support of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, held a special conference-dialogue between Álvaro Siza and Juhani Pallasmaa, with the moderation of Ana Tostões. The session was focused on the architectural exchanges established between North and South, in the second half of 20th century, with a focus on the finish architect Alvar Aalto (1898-1976) legacy. Docomomo ISC/ID + Docomomo Portugal Conference “Modernist women interior designers and artists”
The Docomomo International Specialist Committee on Interior Design (ISC/ID) and Docomomo Portugal organize the Conference "Modernist women interior designers and artists: to deepen the reading of the different expressions of female creativity." The conference will be held in Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon, on March 7 and 8, 2024, in celebration of the International Women's Day. On March 9, the program will include a guided tour of the MUDE in Lisbon and the Museum of Casa das Histórias Paula Rego in Cascais.
