Dear Docomomo Chapters,

In August 2018, at the 15th Docomomo Council Meeting, our mandate heading the Docomomo International Secretariat, with Headquarters in Lisbon, will end. A new mandate and a new headquarters to host the future Docomomo International Secretariat must be voted.

By then, we will be celebrating 30 years of notable collective efforts towards the documentation and conservation of buildings, sites and neighbourhoods of the Modern Movement. We believe that the hard work developed in the last years to keep up the activity of Docomomo International with quality and improvement was huge and worthwhile. It has been enthusiastically recognized by members, partners and friends worldwide that the efforts of Docomomo envisaging a sustainable future for the Modern Movement built production and ideas must keep evolving, addressing the increasingly stimulating challenges of our current world.

Asking for your best attention to the cause, we would like to encourage Docomomo chapters to apply for hosting the next Headquarters of Docomomo International. Candidacies are very welcome before 22 December 2017.
